Vice-President President Jagdeep Dhankar to visit Kerala on May 21-22

Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar will pay a two-day visit to Kerala from May 21 during which he is scheduled to inaugurate the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the Kerala Legislative Assembly building in Thiruvananthapuram.
Soon after his arrival on May 21, the Vice-President will offer prayers at the Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple.
The next day, he will inaugurate the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the Kerala Legislative Assembly building.
The Vice-President will deliver an address and release a Souvenir of the Kerala Legislature International Book Festival – 2023. The Legislative Assembly building was inaugurated on May 22, 1998, by then-President KR Narayanan.
Later in the day, he will visit the Indian Naval Academy (INA) at Ezhimala, Kannur, where he will interact with the cadets. This marks the first visit by any Vice-President of India to the INA.
During his tour of northern Kerala, the Vice-President will also pay respects to his teacher, Rathna Nair at her residence in Thalassery. She had taught Dhankhar when he was a student of the Sainik School in Chittorgarh.
