New Delhi, October 30, 2010
Some of Air India's domestic flights arriving at Delhi will be parked at the Indira Gandhi International Airport's new terminal T3 from October 31.
A press release from the airline said this had been necessitated due to the fact that these aircraft are earmarked for onward international operations.
Air India and some other airlines were due to shift their domestic operations to the new terminal by the end of this month, but this has now been postponed to November 14 because all the related facilities were not completely ready. International operations were shifted to the new terminal some weeks ago.
The release said the passengers of the following flights will disembark at Terminal T 3 and their baggage will also be delivered at the domestic arrival of T 3:
IC 866 (Goa/Mumbai/Delhi), IC 868 (Goa/Delhi), IC 878 (Bhubaneswar/Delhi), IC 941 (Tirupati/Hyderabad/Delhi), IC 879 (Guwahati/Bagdogra/Delhi), IC 890 (Imphal/Guwahati/Delhi), IC 201 (Kolkata/Delhi), IC 903 (Bangalore/Delhi), IC 168 (Mumbai/Delhi), IC 658 (Kozhikode/Coimbatore/Mumbai/Delhi), IC 539 (Chennai/Delhi).
It said Delhi International Airport Ltd would make arrangements for transportation of passengers between T 3 and the old domestic terminal T 1 for passengers of all those flights where there is a change in arriving and departing terminal.
