Rangasamy elected AINRC Legislature Party Leader in Puducherry

All India N R Congress (AINRC) founder-leader and former Chief Minsiter N Rangasamy was today elected as AINRC Legislature Party Leader.

Mr Rangasamy's election came at a meeting of the newly-elected MLAs of AINRC here this morning.

After the election, Mr Rangasamy drove to Raj Nivas to meet Lt Governor Iqbal Singh to stake the party's claim to form the next government here.

The AINRC won 15 of the 30 seats and its ally AIADMK bagged five in the April 13 Assembly elections, the results of which were announced on May 13.
