Presidential Awards for Customs, Central Excise officers

The President's Award of Appreciation Certificate for exceptionally meritorious service rendered at the risk of life has been given posthumously to the late Narabeshwar Singh, who was the Assistant Commissioner, Central Excise Division, Varanasi.
On the occasion of Republic Day, as many as 31 officers of Customs & Central Excise have also been chosen for grant of Presidential Award of Appreciation Certificate for specially distinguished record of service, an official press release said.
"These officers have exhibited exceptional commitment and devotion to duty on a sustained basis, while achieving the goals set for their organizations," it said.
