Revanth Reddy named Telangana PCC chief, Azharuddin is one of the working presidents

The Congress today appointed A Revanth Reddy, the Lok Sabha member from Malkajgiri, as the new President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC).
Congress President Sonia also appointed five working presidents of the TPCC, including former Indian cricket captain and former Lok Sabha member Mohammed Azharuddin.
The other working presidents are J Geetha Reddy, M Anjan Kumar Yadav, T Jagga Reddy and B Mahesh Kumar Gaud.
The changes have come after the party's poor showing in the recent local body elections in Hyderabad.
Revanth Reddy has succeeded N Uttam Kumar Reddy as the TPCC chief.
"The party wholeheartedly appreciates the contributions of outgoing PCC President N Uttam Reddy," a press release issued by Congress General Secretary K C Venugopal said.
"The party also appreciates the contributions of outgoing Working Presidents Ponnam Prabhakar and Jetti Kusum Kumar," he said.
The ten new Senior Vice-Presidents are Chandrashekhar Sambani, Damodhar Reddy, Ravi Mallu, Podem Veeraiah, Suresh Sehtakar, Vem Narender Reddy, Ramesh Mudiraj, Gopishetty Niranjan, Kumar Rao T and Javeed Ameer.
Madhu Yashki Goud is the chairman of the Campaign Committee and Syed Azmatullah Husseni its convener, while Damodar C Rajanarasimha is the chairman of the Election Management Committee and Alleti Maheshwar Reddy the chairman of the AICC Programme Implementation Committee.
