Police rescue 9 migrant child labourers from Bihar in Kerala

Kozhikode, June 19, 2011

Police rescued nine child labourers hailing from Bihar from West Hill Railway Station in Kozhikode district of Kerala today.

Police said nine boys aged between 13 and 14 were rescued on a tip-off this morning. They were trafficked along with seven others in the age group of 15-16.

Stating they would be produced before a juvenile court, police said an agent involved in the trafficking was also taken into custody.
