Nithari accused Pandher collapses in Ghaziabad jail, stable

Mohinder Singh Pandher, one of the accused in the infamous Nithari killings in Noida, collapsed in the Dasna jail here yesterday, official sources said.

Official sources said he had been admitted to a nearby hospital, where doctors said his condition was stable.

Pandher has been lodged in a high security cell of the jail for over two-and-a-half-years.

Jail Director D D Raj said that, yesterday evening around 0700 hrs, Pandher fell unconscious in his barrack. He was taken to the jail hospital where doctors, after the preliminary treatment, referred him to the district hospital.

Pandher has been suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes for a long time. He is on medication and takes insulin injection daily, the doctors added.
