Nepal Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to visit India from August 23-27

New Delhi, August 22, 2017

Nepal Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, accompanied by his spouse Arzu Deuba, will arrive here tomorrow on a five-day state visit to India during which he will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on ways of strengthening bilateral relations.
This will be Mr. Deuba's first visit abroad after assuming office in June. He will be accompanied by a high-level delegation.
During the visit, Mr. Deuba will call on President Ram Nath Kovind and Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu and hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and other Ministers will call on him.
Apart from official engagements in New Delhi, the Prime Minister of Nepal will visit Hyderabad, Tirupati and Bodh Gaya, a press release from the Ministry of External Affairs said.
"In recent years, India-Nepal partnership has witnessed significant growth in all areas of cooperation. The upcoming visit will provide an opportunity to both the sides for holding wide-ranging discussions on issues of mutual interest, and advancing age old, special ties of friendship between our two countries," the release added.
