Minor earthquake shakes Uttarkashi region of Uttarakhand

An earthquake of slight intensity, measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale, shook the Uttarkashi region of Uttarakhand this morning, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The quake, which had its epicentre at latitude 30.9°N and longitude 78.0°E, occurred at 1001 hours at a focal depth of 10 km, an IMD bulletin added.
