IAF's MiG-27 fighter jet crashes in Rajasthan, pilot ejects safely

A MiG-27 fighter jet of the Indian Air Force (IAF), which was on a routine mission from Jodhpur, crashed in a village in Sirohi, Rajasthan, on Sunday, a Defence official said.
"Today (Sunday) morning at around 11.45 a.m., a MiG-27 UPG aircraft which flew from Utarlai Air Force base experienced engine problems leading to a crash at about 120 km south of Jodhpur. The pilot ejected safely," the official added. 
The official said that preliminary reports indicated no loss of property or life on the ground. 
A court of inquiry will investigate cause of the accident.
