Gadkari given additional charge of Munde's portfolios

President Pranab Mukherjee today allocated Rural Development and other portfolios held by Mr Gopinath Munde, who died in a road accident here yesterday, to Minister of Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari as an additional charge.

"The President of India, as advised by the Prime Minister, has directed that Mr Nitin Jairam Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport & Highways and Shipping shall be given additional charge of the Ministries of Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water & Sanitation," a press communique from Rashtrapati Bhavan said.
