Delhi has another cold day, max. temp. at 12.6 degrees C

New Delhi, January 10, 2010

Delhi had another cold day today with the maximum temperature at 12.6 degrees Celsius, just marginally higher than the 12.1 degrees registered on Friday.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said today's maximum temperature was 8 degrees below normal.

The minimum temperature today was 8 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal.

The skies over the capital remained clear throughout, which meant that, among other things, flight operations from the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) were normal today.

The IMD forecast a foggy morning for tomorrow in the capital, with the sky obscured during the day. The maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 13 and 6 degrees Celsius, respectively.

The forecast said the maximum and minimum temperatures would be 15 and 6 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, with fog likely in the morning.

For Wednesday, it said the maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 17 and 18 degrees Celsius, with a partly cloudy sky with possibiity of rain or thunderstorm.
