12 H1N1 deaths reported from Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh in March

As many as 12 deaths due to influenza A (H1N1) have been reported from the three states of Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh in March so far, an official statement said here today.

Of these, Maharashtra accounted for six deaths, Rajasthan five and Andhra Pradesh one, the statement from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said. 
In all, between March 1 and 21, a total of 129 cases were reported from four states, including 69 in Maharashtra, 28 in Rajasthan, 27 in Andhra Pradesh and 5 in Karnataka, it said.
The statement said the Emergency Medical Relief Division of the Ministry was following the developments in the four states with regard to H1N1 cases.
