1 dead, 4 injured in two separate road accidents in Mumbai

A 16-year-old girl was killed and four others injured in two separate road accidents in the city today.

The girl was killed and three others injured when their Honda City car rammed into a parked Toyota car near Cadbury House opposite Mahalaxmi Temple in south Mumbai this morning.

All were rushed to Jaslok hospital, where Shifa succumbed to her injuries. Sania was stated to be critical and is undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit. Mohsin and Faizan were sent home after treatment. Faizan was driving the car.

The teenagers reside in Mahim area of Mumbai.

In the other mishap, a motorcyclist was injured when Ankesh Shahra, who is son of the Managing Director of Ruchi Soya, Dinesh Shahra, in his speeding Porsche knocked him down in the Marine Drive area of south Mumbai this morning.

The motorcyclist, identified as Ainul Haq, who is working as a delivery boy in a nearby restaurant, was reported to be serious.

Ankesh was arrested by police for negligent driving. He was later released on bail.
