Pulses in 7.35 lakh h.a. more than last year; oilseeds area lower

The Ministry of Agriculture today said pulses had been sown in 134.74 hectares during the current Rabi season, which is 7.35 lakh hectares more than last year.
An official statement, quoting data received from the States, said that the total area under oilseeds was, however, at 92.16 hectares, 6.23 hectares lower than last year.
