Indian equity markets open on positive note


Mumbai, August 26, 2020

The 30-scrip BSE Sensitive Index (Sensex) opened on a positive note on Wednesday.

The Sensex opened at 38,930.18 points and touched a high of 38,930.60 points and a low of 38,846.76 points.

On Tuesday the Sensex had closed at 38,843.88 points.

The Sensex was trading at 38,927.64 points this morning, up by 83.76 points or 0.22 per cent.

On the other hand, the broader 50-scrip Nifty at National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened at 11,512.85 points after closing at 11,472.25 points.

The Nifty was trading at 11,501.45 points in the morning.
