Global crude oil price of Indian basket rises to $ 107.13/bbl

The international crude oil price of the Indian basket, as computed today by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, went up to $ 107.13 per barrel (bbl) on 24.04.2014. 

This was higher than the price of $ 106.81 per bbl on the previous publishing day of 23.04.2014, an official press release said.

In rupee terms, the price of the Indian basket increased marginally to Rs 6542.43 per bbl on 24.04.2014 as compared to Rs 6522.89 per bbl on 23.04.2014. This was due to increase in price in dollar terms. 

The rupee-dollar exchange rate remained unchanged at Rs 61.07 per US$ on 24.04.2014 as compared to 23.04.2014, the release added.
