Continuing its focus on connecting destinations in the Gulf to more Indian cities, low-cost carrier IndiGo will launch new daily non-stop flights to Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh and Hyderabad in Telangana from December 29.
IndiGo will also connect Sharjah to Kolkata, Kochi, Goa, Tirupati, Rajahmundry, Patna, Mangalore, Visakhapatnam, Chennai, Raipur and Bhubaneswar through connecting flights, a press release from the airline said.
Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Chief Commercial Officer IndiGo said, “We are the first Indian carrier operating Sharjah flight from Hyderabad and also starting first and only Lucknow-Sharjah connection. Expanding operations to Sharjah on the 6E network is in response to the growing demand on the sector. These new flights will also open up immense connectivity to and fro for other cities on our network, supported by our 147 Airbus-320 strong fleet.”
