Seven Malayalam, five Bengali films in Indian Panorama at IFFI 2014

Paresh Mokashi's Elizabeth Ekadashi has been chosen as the opening film of the India Panorama for the 45th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2014 to be held in Panaji, Goa from November 20 to 30.
The jury for features films headed by renowned filmmaker A K Bir selected 26 films out of a total of 181 eligible entries, an official press release said.
The list includes seven Malayalam films -- 1983, North 24 Kaatham, Njan Steve Lopez, Drishyam, Munnariyippu, Swapaanam and Njaan -- and five Bengali films -- Punashcha, Chotoder Chobi, Bodhon, Jodi Love Dile Na Praane and Teenkahon.
The Last Adieu, directed by Shabnak Sukhdev, will be the opening film in the non-feature films section of the Panorama. The jury for the non-feature films was chaired by well-known filmmaker Mike Pandey.
