6 Bengali tourists die in Sikkim accident

At least seven people, including six tourists from West Bengal, died when their car plunged into the Dikchu river in North Sikkim last night.
District Collector, North, T N Kazi told UNI over the telephone that the accident occurred at Dikchu between Mangan and Gangtok.
Kazi said ten tourists from West Bengal were travelling in a Tata Sumo when the vehicle skidded off the road and fell into the river.
The driver was among the dead. Four critically injured had been admitted to the STNM Hospital here, he said.
Autopsy was being conducted on the bodies, he added.
