Passengers of the Jaipur bound Delhi-Jaipur-Ajmer Shatabdi Express remained stranded near Dausa for some time following a sudden fire in the engine of the prestigious train this morning.
The train was heading for Ajmer via Jaipur when the driver suddenly sighted flames in the engine while it was moving between Bhankhri and Dausa stations, an official spokesman said.
The driver stopped the train at the Banganga bridge and put out the fire.
No one was hurt in the incident but the train remained stranded there till arrival of an alternative engine to take the train on its onward journey, the spokesman added.
