2 injured in bomb explosion in West Bengal

Two teenagers were seriously injured today while playing with two improvised live bombs kept inside the local Communist Party of India (Marxist) committee office here.

Superintendent of Police M K Varma said the improvised bombs were kept inside a gunny bag on the roadside wall of the CPI(M) office.

The primary school students opened the bag out of curiosity and started kicking the bombs triggering the explosion, the officer said. Investigation into the incident was on, he added.

The injured were sent to Midnapore Medical College and Hospital where their condition was stated to be critical.
