5 security guards hurt in bomb explosion at Durgapur, West Bengal

Five security guards were injured, two of them critically, in a bomb explosion at the Durgapur Projects Ltd sub-station premises in Bamunara village of Burdwan district in West Bengal last night.

Police today said unidentified assailants attacked the sub-station, which falls in the Kanska police station area, and exploded bombs, injuring the security guards.

Those who suffered serious injuries were undergoing treatment at Mission Hospital, police said, adding that a manhunt had been launched to arrest the culprits.
