Three new cases of influenza A (H1N1) reported from India

Three new cases of influenza A (H1N1) were reported today from India---one each from Delhi, Bangalore and Gurgaon.
With these, the total number of confirmed cases of the virus in India has risen to 112, an official statement said.
The case in Delhi is of an 11-year-old boy who reached here on June 26 from Munich via Dubai by an Emirates flight. He was brought to the hospital yesterday with various symptoms of the flu.
The case in Bangalore is a 29-year-old man who arrived there on June 28 from Changsha in China by a Dragon Air flight. He reported to hospital yesterday with symptoms of fever and cough.
In Gurgaon, an 11-year-old girl, who arrived in Delhi from Chicago in the United States on June 28 by an American Airlines flight, reported to the hospital with symptoms of cough and sore throat.
Of the 112 positive cases, 74 have already been discharged while the remaining patients are undergoing treatment in hospital, the release added.
