BJP chief Nitin Gadkari unhurt after dais collapses at election rally in UP

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Nitin Gadkari escaped unhurt when the dais he was seated on, along with several  other party colleagues, collapsed during an election meeting in Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh this evening.
 
The dais appeared to have given way due to the fact that there were more people on it than it was built for, sources said.
 
The incident occurred in the Raghuvarganj area in Mohamadabad assembly constituency in  Ghazipur district, sources said, adding that no one was injured in the mishap.
