Suzlon signs Rs 600 crore contract with CLP India for 100 MW project in Rajasthan

Wind turbine manufacturer Suzlon Energy Limited today said it had signed a contract with  for a 100 MW wind power project with CLP India to be set up in Rajasthan and commissioned by January 2013.

A press release from the company said the project comprised 48 units of Suzlon’s latest S97-2.1 MW wind turbines, featuring DFIG technology. 
 
Suzlon will execute the contract under its end-to-end business model. The deal is valued at over Rs. 600 crore (approximately $ 122million), the release said.
 
CLP India is a leading independent power producer (IPP) and has built a portfolio that covers renewable energy, supercritical coal-fired and gas-fired generation, amounting to over 2,715 MW.
