Indo Rama Synthetics to build $ 700m PTA-PET-PSF plant in India

Indo Rama Synthetics (India) Limited, the country's largest dedicated polyester manufacturer, and Indorama Ventures Public Limited Company Limited (IVL) of Thailand have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to construct a state-of-the-art and integrated facility in India containing PTA (Purified Terephthalic Acid), PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) and PSF (Polyester Staple Fiber) plants.

IVL is Thailand's largest polyester producer and the project would be the single largest Thai investment in India, a press release from Indo Rama Synthetics said here today.
 
The MoU was signed in the presence of Thailand's Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra during her recent official visit to India.
