Henrik Ekersund to coach junior Indian tennis players

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has approved the appointment of Henrik Ekersund, a coach from Sweden, to train Indian tennis players, particularly juniors and sub-juniors. 
 
He will also train women’s doubles players who can combine with Sania Mirza in Olympics 2012, an oficial press release said.
 
The expertise of Ekersund will also be utilized for training under the “Come and Play” scheme of the Sports Authority of India and also for organizing coaches’ clinics for Indian coaches. 
 
Ekersund has been the national coach of the Swedish Tennis Association, Stockholm and their head coach for boys under 14. 
 
The term of contract of the coach would be upto October 15, 2014. Along with other facilities and perks, the foreign coach will be paid a  monthly salary of $ 8000, the release added.
