The chopper - designed and manufactured by the Bangalore-based Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) - plummeted to the runway from a height 35 ft due to sudden engine failure, injured pilot P D Tiwari said.

A team of doctors, treating the injured at the Ram Krishna Care Hospital, said all the five identified as pilot P D Tiwari, co-pilot R K Sarin, and engineers Subrat Chandra, Pankaj Pal and Anand Bharti, were out of danger.
