Miscreants kill four of a family in Jodhpur district

Jodhpur, January 14, 2012
Four members of an extended family, including an aged couple, were killed by armed assailants in a hamlet near Bilara in this district of Rajasthan late last night.
 
According to police sources, the miscreants stormed into Bagh-Ki-Dhani near Bilara and assaulted Ratna Ram Sirvi(80) and his wife Dakha(75) and some other family members with batons and sharp-edged weapons.
 
While the couple and two children died in the attack, a woman was admitted to the hospital.
 
The assailants later sped away in the family's car, leaving behind their unregistered motorcycle.
 
A search has been launched to nab the culprits, the sources added.
