FIR filed against Achuthanandan in land allotment case

The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) today registered an FIR against Opposition leader in Kerala Assembly V S Achuthanandan in connection with allotment of land to his relative in Kasargod.
 
The FIR was registered by the Kasargod unit of Vigilance. It was to be submitted before the Inquiry Commissioner and Vigilance Special Judge Kozhikode this afternoon.
 
VACB Director Venugopal K Nair yesterday ordered the Vigilance officials to register the case against Achuthanandan.
 
Achuthanandan was the first accused in the case as charged by the Vigilance officials.
