Vice-President Ansari visits Sasan Gir in Gujarat

Vice President Hamid Ansari, who is on a three-day visit of Gujarat from January 7, arrived at Sasan Gir this noon along with his wife Salma Ansari and other senior officials.

He visited the lion sanctuary at Sasan Gir, the last abode of the Asiatic lion, for a sighting of the King of the Jungle this evening.
 
The Vice-President will spend the night at Sasan. Tomorrow morning, he will visit the Devalia forest, the other side of the Gir forest.
 
Later, in the afternoon, he will leave for New Delhi from here, the official sources said.
