Two killed in Gujarat as truck hits motorcycle

Two people on a motorcycle were killed when they were run over by a speeding truck on the Latpur-Tankara Highway, near here, today.

According to police, the incident occurred around 0830 hrs this morning. Two friends were proceeding on their motorbike on the highway when they were hit by a truck near Lalpur village in Jamnagar district. Both were killed on the spot. 
 
The deceased have been identified as Upendrasinh Jadeja and Batuk Bijalbhai.
 
The police has registered a case against the truck driver, who fled the scene soon after the accident, police said.
