Anna Hazare's health condition improves: doctors

The health condition of social activist Anna Hazare, who was admitted to a private hospital here on Sunday with chest congestion, backache and body weakness, has improved significantly, Dr Parag Sancheti of Sancheti Hospital said here today.
 
"There is a significant improvement in his overall health. The chest congestion has reduced greatly with antibiotics, physiotherapy and nebulisation. His only complaint now is little cough, which is being tackled with steroid injections," the orthopaedic surgeon told 
UNI.
 
"Anna is very happy and has started reading the newspaper after a gap of five days. He is also talking to a few selected people visiting the hospital," he said.
 
"He has started taking good amount of food now and there is nothing to worry about his health now," he said.
All other parameters like blood pressure, blood glucose, white blood cell count and creatinine levels are also normal, Dr Sancheti said.
 
"Our team of doctors will take a decision about his discharge from the hospital on Sunday," he said.
 
Though earlier Hazare has been advised by his doctor to refrain from any kind of physical exertion, including fasting, for at least a month, he can participate in agitation after one month, he said and cautioned that he however has to take care of his diet.
