President condoles loss of lives in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry due to cyclone Thane

President Pratibha Patil has condoled the loss of lives in the coastal areas of north Tamil Nadu and Pudcherry caused by cyclone "Thane" which hit the area on Friday morning.
 
In a message to Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah, Patil expressed her grief over the loss of lives and damage to poverty in the coastal districts of the state.
 
Patil, who is camping in Hyderabad, sent a separate message in this regard to Puducherry Lt Governor Iqbal Singh.
 
Patil conveyed her condolences to the members of the bereaved families and wished speedy recovery to the injured persons.
