Govt doctors in Rajasthan call off strike

The 11-day-old strike by CAS/Medical Officers in Rajasthan was called off here late last night.  

The announcement to end the strike was made by the spokesperson of the agitating doctors' association, Dr Nasreen Bharati, after holding talks with government representatives facilitated by Energy and DIPR Minister Jitendra Singh here midnight tonight.
 
Prior to this, the state Government this evening revoked the Rajasthan Essential Services Maintenance Act(RESMA) in respect to the strike and ordered the release of doctors who were jailed in connection with the stir.
