Rajasthan doctors' strike: 12 senior officials dismissed

The Rajasthan government has dismissed two Chief Medical and Health Officers (CMHOs) and 10 Principal Medical Officers (PMOs) for joining the ongoing strike by the state government doctors.
 
The dismissal of Dr Yudhvir Rathore, Acting CMHO Pali, Dr Dulli Chand, CMHO, Jalore and 10 PMOs in different districts, was ordered at the high-level meeting held here late last night under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to review the situation arising out of the five-day-old strike.
 
Health Minister A A Khan, Minister of State for Health Rajkumar Sharma, Chief Secretary S Ahmad and other high officials attended the meeting.
 
Meanwhile, amid alternative arrangements with the help from the Army, BSF, ESI and private doctors/hospitals, medical services in government hospitals remained affected due to the strike.
