Rajasthan: 25 hurt in trailer-school bus collision near Jaipur

At least 25 people, including 20 schoolchildren, were injured when their bus was hit by a trailer near Gopalpura bypass here late last night, police said.
 
The group of over 40 children of the DPS School were returning from a nearby resort around 2245 hrs when their bus was hit from the rear by the speeding trailer.
 
The collision was so powerful that huge pipes loaded in the trailer pierced through the bus from the backside. Rescuers, onlookers and Metro Rail project site workers had to work hard to extricate the injured.
 
The injured - 20 children, three teachers, bus driver and the conductor - were rushed to hospital where four had to be shifted to the ICU ward. 
 
The trailer driver fled after accident.
