One killed as train rams into school van in Punjab

The driver of a school van was killed when a train plying on the Ludhiana-Jakhal line rammed into the vehicle at an unmanned railway crossing near Neelowal village in Sangrur district of Punjab this morning.
 
Police said the accident occurred when driver Sukhdev Singh of Ramgarh Jawandha village was on way to pick up children of Sant Ishar Singh School in Chahar village and could not notice the incoming train due to dense fog that had engulfed the region.
