Body of woman boxer recovered from hotel in Bihar

The local police recovered the body of Tanuja Kanyal (25), a woman boxer and a national bronze medal winner, from a room of a hotel as Station Chowk under the Town Police Station area in Vaishali district of Bihar today.
 
According to police, the body was found hanging from the ceiling fan of the room where she was staying along with one Rakesh, who fled from the hotel this morning in the name of having tea.
 
The sources said the woman was murdered and her body was hanged from the ceiling fan to make it appear as a case of suicide.
 
A suicide note was recovered from the room. However, the handwriting did not match with that of the writing of the deceased and was found to be fake.
 
The body was sent for autopsy. An FIR was lodged at the police station concerned. Raids were on to nab the absconder, the police added.
