Gujarat IAS officer gets bail in land scam case

The Supreme Court today granted bail to Gujarat IAS officer Pradeep Sharma, who is facing allegations of irregular allotment of land in the state.
 
The apex court directed that the accused be released on furnishing a bail-bond of Rs 5 lakh along with two sureties of the like amount.
 
Sharma was arrested for his alleged involvement in the land scam.
 
His counsel had sought bail for him contending that the investigation in the case is over and Sharma is no longer required for any interrogation.
