Minor quake recorded in Tawang area of Arunachal Pradesh

A mild earthquake, measuring 2.9 on the Richter scale, was recorded in the Tawang region of Arunachal Pradesh this morning, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The quake, which had its epicentre at latitude 27.5 degrees North and longitude 92.0 degrees East, occured at 0657 hours today at a depth of 39 km, an IMD bulletin said.
