L&T bags Rs 2164 crore highway six-laning project from GMR Infrastructure

Engineering and construction major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) today said it had bagged a major order valued at Rs 2164 crore from GMR Infrastructure.
 
A press release from L&T said the order was for construction of stretches consisting of six laning of Kishangarh-Udaipur-Ahmedabad Highway. The development would be executed on EPC (engineering, procurement & construction) basis, it said.
 
The Kishangarh-Udaipur-Ahmedabad project is a mega project and part of Phase V of the National Highways Development Programme (NHDP) of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
 
It is aimed at upgrading the existing four lane section of the Golden Quadrilateral to six lane.
 
The National Highway-8 (NH-8) connects the national capital, Delh, and the business capital, Mumbai.
