IT raids at Telugu actor Mahesh Babu's residence

Income Tax Department officials conducted raids at the residence of leading Telugu film actor Mahesh Babu here this evening.

The IT officials, who swooped down on the actor's residence, were verifying his income statements.
 
Mahesh Babu, who is the son of yesteryear matinee idol Krishna, was shooting for a film when he was informed about the raids. He rushed home, sources said.
 
Media reports said Mahesh Babu was the highest paid actor in the Telugu film industry.
