Former Bihar ministerJagnarayan Trivedi passes away

Former Bihar Minister Jagnarayan Trivedi died following protracted illness at his native village of Nihalpur in Buxar district last night. He was 85.
 
Trivedi served the state as a minister during the regime of the Congress Government. 
 
Expressing deep sorrow over the demise of the former Bihar Minister, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, in his message, today said Trivedi was a popular leader who strived for the cause of the people.
 
He will be cremated with full state honours.
 
Mr Kumar said Trivedi's demise had created a void in the field of politics.
 
The mortal remains of Trivedi would be consigned to flames on the bank of the river Ganges in Buxar this evening.
