Praveen Kumar, Rohit Sharma recalled for Test series against Australia

Pace bowler Praveen Kumar and batsman Rohit Sharma were recalled in India's 17-member Test squad for next month's tour of Australia beginning next month while the selectors again ignored out-of-form Harbhajan Singh.
 
The selection committee said pace spearhead Zaheer Khan, who missed much of the England tour and the current series against the West Indies because of a hamstring and an ankle injuries, would join the team, subject to his match fitness.
 
The team, led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, also includes Virender Sehwag (vice-captain) and seasoned campaigners such as Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and V V S Laxman.
 
Bengal wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha finds a place in the team as do Virat Kohli, R Ashwin, Ishant Sharma,  Pragyan Ojha, Ajinkya Rahane, Varun Aaron, Umesh Yadav.
 
The squad: M.S. Dhoni – Captain, Virender Sehwag – Vice-captain, Gautam Gambhir, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Virat Kohli, R. Ashwin, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Varun Aaron, Rohit Sharma, Pragyan Ojha, Praveen Kumar, Ajinkya Rahane, Wriddhiman Saha and Zaheer Khan (subject to match fitness).
