Exhibition of Polish artist Stefan Norblin's works opens in Delhi
An exhibition on the life and work of Polish artist Stefan Norblin in India between 1941 and 1946 was jointly inaugurated at the National Gallery of Modern Art here yesterday by Union Culture Minister Kumari Selja and her Polish counterpart Bogdan Zdrojewski.
The exhibition, "Stefan Norblin (1892-1952): A Master of Many Arts", will be open for public viewing till November 23 before it moves to the National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai.
An official press release said the exhibition lays special emphasis on the artist's life and works in India but also brings together his works from Poland and the United States. These include portraits of Poland’s pre-war elite, art déco posters, book covers, illustrations and designs for theatrical costumes.
