Bye-elections for Kolkata South LS seat, 8 Assembly seats in six states on Nov 30

The Election Commission has announced that bye-elections would be held on November 30 to fill casual vacancies in the Kolkata South Lok Sabha constituency as well as eight Assembly constituencies in six states.
 
The Kolkata South Lok Sabha seat became vacant after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee resigned  following her election to the state legislative assembly.
 
The Assembly constituences where bye-elections will be held include Nalagarh and Rainka (SC) in Himachal Pradesh, Ratia (SC) and Adampur in Haryana, Umerkote (ST) in Orissa, Laukaha in Bihar and Mandu in Jharkhand.
