6 cops killed, 5 injured in Naxal ambush in Chhattisgarh

Six security personnel were killed and five others critically injured when an armed group of Naxalites ambushed them near Netanar village under Darbha police station area in the restive Bastar district of Chhattisgarh this afternoon.
 
According to Inspector General of Police (IGP) (Bastar Range) T J Longkumer, while the injured had been shifted to the Maharani Hospital here, two of the 16-member Darbha police party that came under fire from the guerillas, were still reported to be missing. 
 
Among the six police personnel killed was Darbha police station house officer Mahendra Dhruv, the IGP said, adding that additional forces had been rushed to the spot.
