Five judges appointed to Patna High Court

The President has appointed Mr Justice Rakesh Kumar, Mr Justice Birendra Prasad Verma, Mr Justice Dinesh Kumar Singh, Mr Justice Akhilesh Chandra, and Mr Justice Mungeshwar Sahoo, Additional Judges, as Judges of the Patna High Court.

An official press release said the appointments, in that order of seniority, would be with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective office.

The President has also appointd Ms Mukta Gupta to be an Additional Judge of the Delhi High Court for a period of two years with effect from October 23, 2011.
